Introducing The Box Set

I created a collective of touring musicians to score picture during the pandemic. I call it the Box Set because it reminds me of all the great CD box sets I had in the 90’s, they had all the hits, the b-sides, live songs, and some outtakes, and they were complete packages of old and new. That’s what the Box Set is for me, complete soundtracks played by some old friends who have been off the road during the pandemic, scoring some new TV and film. Our first Netflix credit comes in June.

"THANK  YOU #ZNATION FANS - WE'VE BEEN RENEWED FOR A 5TH SEASON," he wrote. "How could @SYFY say no? #ITSAFANTHING !" He went on to say that production on Season 5 would begin in 2018. The official account for the show thanked the fans and crew for the renewal." -Syfy.com

Syfy Composers on Comic Con Panel

"SyFy showcased six of their talented composers at Comic-Con on Friday with the panel “Behind the Music: SyFy Chills & Thrills.” Tahmoh Penikett (aka Battlestar Galactica’s Captain Helo) moderated, with guests Bill Brown (composer of Dominion), Jason Gallagher (Z Nation), Reinhold Heil (Helix), FM Le Sieur (Being Human), Shawn Pierce (Haven), and Chris Ridenhour (the peerless Sharknado 1-3)." -Nerdist.com

Guitar Player Magazine

IF SOME FILM STUDIO EVER DOES A REMAKE OF CAMERON Crowe’s Almost Famous, Leroy Justice would kick ass reprising the role of the fictional band Stillwater. Well, without all the Hollywood drama and all. We’re talking about music here, and Leroy Justice encapsulates the bright beams of ’70s-era American rock: lyrics that actually tell stories, impassioned melodies, good hooks, a hint of country heritage in the guitars and vocals, and show-stopping dynamics. The ebb-and-flow of Leroy Justice’s guitar textures are crafted by vocalist/guitarist Jason Gallagher and co-guitarist Justin Mazer, and the effect is just as striking in live performance as it is on the band’s first majorlabel release, Above the Weather [Elm City/Capitol].
